Evergreen (Pipeline) Requisition

This is an evergreen position designed to pro-activelyย identify and engage highly qualified candidates for future openings across Odysseyโ€™s portfolio of acquisition and program management support efforts. While this role is not currently tied to a specific contract, selected candidates may be considered for upcoming positions based on their experience, qualifications, and program needs.

Odyssey is recruiting Electrical/Avionics Systems Engineering Support candidatesย supporting the Special Operations Forces and Personnel Recovery Division (AFLCMC/WIS), at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. WIS is part of the ISR/SOF Directorate (AFLCMC/WI), which is responsible for equipping our warfighters to win the fight. The Directorate executes a $22 billion acquisition portfolio developing, producing, testing, modifying, fielding, and supporting Air Force ISR and SOF platforms, and related sub-systems.


Duties include, but not limited to:ย 

  • Developing, implementing, and documenting projects.
  • Ascertaining needed changes or modifications to production methods, procedures, and/or approaches;
  • Documenting systems requirements.
  • Evaluating procedures and employing innovative techniques and methods to achieve goals.
  • Supporting engineering reviews and/or panels, developing evaluations and technical justifications of feasibility, practicability, and technical soundness, recognizing priorities as well as the urgency of the situation; work may include use or development of computer-aided engineering and analysis tools.
  • Developing, executing, and reviewing policies, processes, and procedures of a special or miscellaneous character that may span multiple engineering disciplines and requires application of knowledge of such fundamentals.
  • Participating in special projects/initiatives, and preparing oral/written reports; Presenting briefings and developing technical reports to document progress and results; Preparing management reports and conducting technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective action.
  • Performing airworthiness determinations, Military Flight Release (MFR) preparation, Modification Airworthiness Certification Criteria (MACC) development, and reportability determinations per the latest version of Military Handbook (MIL-HDBK) 516.

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance:ย Secret

Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science (ABET accredited educational program preferred).ย 

Years of Experience: Three (3) or more years engineering experience in a relevant functional area with a minimum of two (2) of those years working in the specialty task areas of avionics, software or test for the DoD.
