Overview

The Social Media & Content Manager will transform Tervis' social strategy and presence into a driver of brand relevance and demand that directly impacts our marketing and sales goals, with a focus on creating highly-engaging content. They are responsible for driving audience growth, engagement, and demand through an insights-driven, data-informed social media strategy and high-quality, social-first content.

They are responsible for developing, executing, and evolving the brand's social strategy across media channels as well as creating, curating, and managing Tervis' social content while ensuring cohesive brand voice and visual identity across channels.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Strategy

- Own and evolve Tervis' organic & paid social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.

- Develop and manage content calendars aligned to product launches, campaigns, and key business priorities.

- Translate brand and marketing goals into engaging, platform-native content concepts.

- Ensure consistency in brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all channels.

Content Creation & Creative Production

- Concept, shoot, and produce social-first photo and video content, including short-form video, lifestyle imagery, UGC-style content, and promotional assets for use across social media and marketing channels

- Edit and optimize content for each platform (aspect ratios, pacing, sound, trends, etc.).

- Lead or support photoshootsโ€”from concepting and shot lists to on-set execution.

- Continuously test new formats, storytelling approaches, and creative trends.

Social Media Execution & Community Management

- Publish, schedule, and manage daily content across all platforms.

- Actively engage with the community by responding to comments and messages in a timely, brand-appropriate voice.

- Monitor conversations, sentiment, and brand mentions - escalating where needed.

- Stay current on platform updates, trends, and algorithm shifts.

Performance Analytics, Reporting & Optimization

- Track and analyze key performance metrics (engagement, reach, growth, conversions) to evaluate campaigns.

- Translate insights into actionable recommendations to improve content performance.

- Test, iterate, and optimize content strategies based on data and trends.

- Align with and report on results regularly to Chief Marketing Officer and eCommerce Director.

Creative Library & Asset Management

- Build and maintain an organized library of photo and video assets.

- Ensure assets are properly edited, formatted, tagged, and ready for cross-channel use.

- Manage file organization, versioning, and approvals for all creative outputs.

Cross Functional Collaboration

- Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Office and Customer Service to effectively respond to comments and messages.

- Partner with Chief Marketing Officer to ensure strategy & messaging alignment

- Support product launches and brand initiatives with social-first campaign ideas & execution


Preferred Skills, Education & Experience:

- 3+ years of experience in social media management and content creation for a brand or agency

- Proven ability to both develop strategy and execute creative content independently.

- Strong understanding of platform best practices, trends, and analytics.

- Hands-on experience with photo/video production and editing (Adobe Creative Suite and/or mobile tools).

- Excellent copywriting and communication skills.

- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to trends

- Portfolio demonstrating both social strategy and creative execution required.

Additional Desired Skills (Not Required):
- Strong photography expertise, including art direction, production, and editing of lifestyle and product photography for marketing and eCommerce use.
- Ability to independently plan and execute photo shoots, including concept development, shot lists, styling direction, and on-set coordination.
- Hands-on experience capturing and editing high-quality imagery that aligns with brand standards across digital and print channels.
- Understanding of lighting, composition, set design, and visual storytelling for consumer products.
- Experience collaborating with contractors such as production managers, stylists, lighting specialists, and models to execute brand photo shoots.
