Job description

The Litigation Attorney will manage a docket of litigation personal injury cases from filing through resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate cases for litigation and prepare lawsuits
  • Draft and file complaints, discovery, motions, and responses
  • Conduct written discovery (interrogatories, requests for production, admissions)
  • Take and defend depositions (parties, witnesses, corporate representatives, and experts)
  • Attend court hearings, motion calendars, and mediations
  • Prepare cases for mediation and trial
  • Work with experts (medical providers, life care planners, accident reconstructionists, economists)
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and defense counsel
  • Advise clients on case strategy, value, and litigation process
  • Ensure compliance with Georgia Civil Practice Act, local court rules, and scheduling orders
  • Assist in trial preparation including exhibits, witness preparation, and jury charges
  • Coordinate with paralegals and case managers regarding medical records, liens, and case development
  • Maintain accurate case notes and deadlines in the case management system

Required Qualifications

  • Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia
  • 1–7 years of litigation or personal injury
  • Experience drafting motions and responding to discovery
  • Knowledge of Georgia civil procedure and evidence
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload
  • Strong writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills
  • Comfortable with client interaction and depositions

Preferred Qualifications
