About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Digital Twin and BIM Consultant to support one of the largest transportation infrastructure initiatives in North America. This role will help define and implement a Digital Twin strategy for a major interstate bridge replacement program, enabling a connected digital ecosystem that spans planning, design, construction, operations, and long-term asset management.

The ideal candidate has successfully implemented Digital Twin or BIM solutions on large civil infrastructure projects such as bridges, highways, rail, airports, tunnels, or other transportation megaprojects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Digital Twin strategy and implementation for large infrastructure programs.
  • Develop Digital Twin architecture supporting the full asset lifecycle.
  • Define and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEP) aligned with ISO 19650 standards.
  • Establish and manage Common Data Environments (CDE) for multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Integrate BIM, GIS, reality capture, IoT sensor data, and asset management information into a unified Digital Twin platform.
  • Collaborate with owners, engineering firms, contractors, and technology partners.
  • Develop Digital Twin use cases supporting:
    • Planning and environmental analysis
    • Public engagement and visualization
    • Design collaboration
    • Construction sequencing (4D)
    • Cost estimating (5D)
    • Asset management (6D)
    • Predictive maintenance
    • Sensor-based monitoring
  • Develop standards, governance, workflows, and information management processes.
  • Support software architecture evaluations and recommend Digital Twin technology platforms.
  • Guide implementation of open BIM standards and model-based project delivery.
  • Mentor engineering and project teams on Digital Twin best practices.
  • Support executive presentations and Digital Twin roadmap development.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience delivering Digital Twin and BIM solutions.
  • Experience on transportation or heavy civil infrastructure projects exceeding $500M.
  • Demonstrated experience with:
    • Digital Twin implementation
    • Building Information Modeling (BIM)
    • ISO 19650
    • Common Data Environments
    • Information Management
    • Digital Delivery
  • Experience working with:
    • Bridges
    • Highways
    • Rail
    • Airports
    • Transit systems
  • Strong understanding of engineering workflows across planning, design, construction, and operations.
  • Experience integrating BIM with GIS and asset management platforms.
