Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Manager (Digital Marketing Agency) based in Netherlands.

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of small business clients and ensuring strong relationships, successful project delivery, and long-term customer satisfaction. You will act as the bridge between clients and internal marketing specialists, helping businesses understand the impact of digital marketing initiatives. This role combines account management, communication, project coordination, and digital marketing knowledge, with a strong focus on SEO and website performance. You will have the opportunity to work directly with clients, translate data into meaningful business insights, and contribute to retention and growth strategies. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and passionate about helping businesses achieve measurable results through digital solutions.

Accountabilities
  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 40-60 small business client accounts, acting as the main point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Build strong client relationships by ensuring excellent communication, satisfaction, and overall customer experience.
  • Lead regular client meetings, prepare agendas, share performance updates, and align on priorities and next steps.
  • Translate digital marketing performance metrics into clear business outcomes and explain results in a client-friendly way.
  • Coordinate client requests and collaborate with internal teams, including SEO and Paid Media specialists, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Prepare meeting summaries, action items, recommendations, and follow-up documentation after client interactions.
  • Monitor client performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Stay informed about SEO developments, digital marketing trends, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support client retention strategies and account growth initiatives.
  • Ensure projects, deliverables, and client requests are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Maintain organized client documentation, account records, and project information within management systems.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in Digital Marketing, Account Management, Customer Success, or a related role.
  • Previous experience working in a digital marketing agency environment is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of SEO principles, digital marketing channels, and performance measurement metrics.
  • Experience managing multiple client accounts and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to confidently lead client meetings, present performance results, and communicate recommendations.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with customer retention, relationship management, and account growth practices.
  • Comfortable learning and applying new technologies, AI tools, and digital marketing platforms.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize effectively, and maintain quality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with tools such as ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, Slack, Google Meet, Google Workspace, or similar platforms is an advantage.
