Remote Digital Manufacturing information

What is remote digital manufacturing?

Remote digital manufacturing refers to the use of digital technologies, such as cloud computing, IoT, and advanced software, to manage and oversee manufacturing processes from a distance. This approach allows engineers, designers, and operators to monitor equipment, control production lines, and analyze data without being physically present in the factory. The goal is to increase efficiency, flexibility, and scalability in manufacturing by leveraging digital tools and connectivity. Remote digital manufacturing is particularly valuable for companies with global operations or those seeking to reduce on-site staffing requirements.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in remote digital manufacturing roles?

Professionals in remote digital manufacturing often face challenges related to coordinating work across different time zones and ensuring seamless communication with on-site teams. Managing real-time data from distributed manufacturing equipment and maintaining cybersecurity for sensitive production information are also critical concerns. Additionally, adapting to new digital tools and staying updated with rapidly evolving technologies requires continuous learning and flexibility. Successful remote digital manufacturing professionals typically develop strong collaboration skills and proactively address potential workflow disruptions to keep projects on track.

Job description

About the Job

Geear is a HubSpot Diamond Partner and has repeatedly been voted one of the Best Places to Work in Virginia. We’re a remote-first digital marketing agency that helps credit unions and community banks grow through smarter marketing — and we want you to grow with us.

We're looking for a bright, motivated individual who's passionate about using SEO, GEO, content, and email marketing to create meaningful customer experiences and deliver measurable value at every stage of the customer journey. If you’re eager to learn, love collaborating, and want to do meaningful work in a company that truly lives its values — all while enjoying a 4-day workweek and 100% remote flexibility — you might be exactly who we’re looking for.

What You'll Do

You thrive on cultivating meaningful relationships and delivering results that make clients say “wow.” Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Develop and execute inbound marketing strategies using our Strategic Playbook.

  • Manage day-to-day account work such as content strategy, technical SEO, CRO recommendations, HubSpot workflows, and GBP optimization.

  • Working closely with other Geear team members to develop, execute, and analyze clients’ SEO, GEO, content, and HubSpot marketing campaigns.

  • Ideate and contribute to quarterly projects intentionally chosen and designed to enhance our products and processes, using automation and AI to improve efficiency and increase value

  • Participate in client calls as needed to provide subject-matter expertise and ensure expectations are clear.

  • Share learnings, industry updates, and best practices with team members to elevate collective expertise.

  • Monitor account performance regularly, report on progress, and recommend adjustments when results are not improving.

  • Identify opportunities to test and iterate strategies for better outcomes.

  • Bring new, innovative ideas to our team and clients.

  • Contribute to making our 4-Day Workweek sustainable and successful for everyone.

Who You Are
  • Someone who works well independently but thrives in a collaborative, remote team environment

  • Someone who is constantly learning and staying up to date with industry trends

  • Someone who has direct, demonstrable experience improving performance with SEO and content marketing

  • Someone who is deeply exploring and testing what works and doesn’t work in GEO

  • Someone with experience using data to uncover insights and shape strategy

  • Someone who has high empathy and can deeply understand customer needs and experiences

  • Someone who gets excited watching their efforts translate into traffic, leads, and happy clients

  • Someone who is curious about leveraging AI to do higher quality, more efficient work

  • Someone who enjoys solving problems creatively and finding more efficient ways to work

  • Someone who is well-organized and can manage their time effectively

  • Someone who is driven and is looking to grow in their career

Bonus Points
  • If you have solid HubSpot experience building workflows and automations

  • If you have prior agency experience

  • If you have prior experience in the financial services/banking and/or manufacturing industries

Who You'll Work With
  • A digitally obsessed, purpose-driven team where you’ll learn from experienced professionals across SEO, GEO, content, and HubSpot disciplines

  • A positive, healthy company culture steeped in our core values of Growth, Empathy, Essentialism, Accountability, and Right — we call it GEEAR

  • A growing agency recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Virginia for five consecutive years

  • A Google Premium Partner, Microsoft Ads Partner, and HubSpot Diamond Partner.

Setting You Up For Success

As an employee-first organization, we want to make sure our team members are set up for success. When you win, everyone wins. Therefore, we are proud to offer the following benefits:

  • 4-Day Workweek. We recognize the incredible impact wellness and balance have on productivity, quality of work, and employee experience and are eagerly piloting a four-day workweek.

  • Fully remote office. We don't think you need to be in an office to do great work. If you prefer an occasional change of scenery outside the office, we will cover some or all of the cost of a coworking membership.

  • Group health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans at a very low cost.

  • 401k savings plan with employer match helps you save some for later.

  • Student loan assistance plan that makes monthly contributions directly to your student loan principal (at no cost to you).

  • $2000 home office and computer allowance to equip you with the resources you need to perform your best (and be comfortable while doing it!).

  • $500 annual education stipend.

  • Unlimited paid time off.

  • A clear track for career growth, increased responsibilities, and increased compensation.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience creating and implementing SEO, GEO, and content/email marketing strategies

  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console or other web analytics platforms

  • Familiarity with SEO tools like Screaming Frog, Semrush, Ahrefs, SpyFu, Moz, or Searchmetrics

  • Strong writing and editing skills for all stages of the buyer’s journey

  • Ability to analyze data to inform recommendations and decisions

  • Self-starter and high degree of accountability to complete work and do what’s right for the team and clients

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and creative self-starter

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and collaborative energy

  • Experience with email marketing, HubSpot, and content performance analysis strongly preferred

  • Conducting audits (workflows, lead scoring, content, automation)

Preferred skills:
  • Schema implementation experience

  • HTML, CSS, or JavaScript fluency

  • Experience with review acquisition or link-building campaigns

  • Familiarity with Local SEO and Google Business Profiles

  • Experience with B2B, financial services, or industrial clients

  • Managing email marketing campaigns and contact lists

Candidates must be based in the United States.

What's The Geear Culture Like?

As a 'people first' organization, culture is extremely important to us. We recognize how a toxic culture can create a miserable experience for an employee, so we protect it at all costs.

Our culture is steeped in our core values of GEEAR: Growth, Essentialism, Empathy, Accountability, and Right. Our people are focused on personal and professional growth, they focus on the essentials, they are empathetic towards others, they take accountability and ownership, and they do what's right and in the best interest of our clients.

Our culture is compassionate and team-oriented. We don't tolerate any "throat stomping" or other negative behavior that impacts someone's experience here.

That's why our employees rave about our culture (and we think you will, too).

Compensation
  • Base salary: $73,000 - $93,000/yr.

  • Additional company bonus opportunities: $9,380 - $10,580/yr.

  • Total earning potential: $82,380 - $103,580/yr.

A little more about us...

We believe strongly in personal accountability. We will invest in you, challenge you, and develop you. It is in our best interest to see you succeed and grow.

Geear is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace that values and respects all individuals. We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. We believe that a diverse team contributes to a richer work environment and enhances the quality of our services. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to these characteristics.

Please note that, at this time, we are unable to sponsor work visas and are only hiring individuals who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
