Job description

MORE THAN A JOB. A CAREER THAT CHANGES LIVES 160 Driving Academy is the largest CDL training school in the country—14 years strong, with 90+ locations across 32 states, and roughly 20,000 students earning their commercial driver's license with us every year. We graduate at an 80%+ first-time pass rate because we take the work personally. Behind every one of those graduates is a working adult who chose to bet on themselves—a parent looking for stable income, a veteran starting a second career, or a worker pivoting out of an industry that was no longer hiring. They picked up the phone, called us, and someone on the other end treated their question like it mattered. Every one of those students found us somewhere first—a search result, a video, a social post, a sign on a yard fence, or our name on the side of a truck. Marketing is how the next 20,000 students find us. It's how a national brand shows up consistently across 90+ locations and on every screen where someone is deciding to change their life. This is a role for a builder—a hands-on marketer who brings ideas, takes ownership, and wants to grow alongside an ambitious marketing organization. ABOUT THE MARKETING MANAGER ROLE As Marketing Manager, you'll help bring campaigns to life, create engaging content, coordinate marketing initiatives, manage projects, and support both consumer and business marketing efforts that drive measurable business results. This is an execution-focused role with significant ownership—from website copy and video content to integrated campaigns and location branding in the field. You will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and work closely with internal departments, field teams, and outside vendors. We're looking for someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do—you bring ideas, solve problems, embrace challenges, and take pride in delivering high-quality work. This is a remote position (Chicago-based preferred) with travel as needed for video production, events, and location branding. WHAT YOU'LL DO AS THE MARKETING MANAGER Content Marketing Create marketing content that informs, inspires, and drives action, including: website copy, landing pages, email campaigns, social media content, video concepts, & sales support materials Help tell the 160 Driving Academy story while supporting lead generation and brand awareness. Helping a student complete our program and secure a job means helping them begin a stable, well-paying, in-demand career—often the first they've ever had. Our workforce partnerships, work with veterans and second-chance candidates, and reputation with carriers across 32 states were built one student at a time. Marketing is how the next student finds us—this role carries that story to every screen, every yard, and every community we serve. If you want to do meaningful work, build a brand that changes lives, and join a company investing in its people, we'd love to hear from you.
