About the Role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Blue Wheel is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, helping attract, engage and hire top talent across the organization. This role partners closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop recruiting strategies, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience from initial outreach through onboarding. This role is a 6-month contract role with potential to hire after contract is over; current need is covering employee leave

Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition:
    • Manage full-cycle recruiting for a variety of positions across the organization
    • Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, hiring strategies, and ideal candidate profiles
    • Post positions across job boards, social media, and other recruiting platforms
    • Source passive candidates through networking, LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals and other sourcing methods
    • Screen resumes and conduct initial phone/video interviews
    • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring teams
    • Facilitate interview debriefs and provide hiring recommendations
    • Create and extend employment offers
    • Negotiate compensation within approved guidelines
    • Manage candidate communications throughout the hiring process to ensure exceptional experience
  • Recruiting Strategy
    • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
    • Develop sourcing strategies to attract diverse, high-quality candidates
    • Track recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, pipeline health, and offer acceptance rates
    • Recommend improvements to recruiting processes and candidate experience
  • Hiring Manager Partnership
    • Serve as trusted advisor to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process
    • Provide guidance on interviewing best practices and hiring decisions
    • Ensure consistency and compliance throughout the recruitment process
    • Schedule and facilitate orientation and onboarding meetings
  • Recruitment Operations
    • Maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and improvement of processes within
    • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company hiring policies
    • Prepare offer letters and support pre-employment processes
    • Assist with onboarding coordination
    • Work with outside recruiters as needed

  • Complete onboarding of our culture, values and organizational structure
  • Introduction to hiring managers across departments to understand their teams and hiring needs
  • Learning of our ATS, recruiting tools, interview process and hiring workflows
  • Review current open positions and begin supporting active recruitment efforts
  • Shadow interviews and recruiting conversations to understand our hiring approach
  • Begin conducting candidate phone screens and coordinating interviews
  • Post and manage job openings across recruiting platforms
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes and candidate experience

Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2-4 years of full-cycle recruiting experience
  • Experience recruiting for multiple departments and job levels
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills
  • Experience using an ATS
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple openings simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with leaders across the organization
  • Commitment to delivering an exceptional candidate experience
