Job description

Doodle Labs is the global leader in high-performance private wireless systems. We build cutting-edge mesh networks for robotics, drones, and the Industrial Internet of Things. Doodle Labs has experienced rapid growth over the past five years as our radio systems have been adopted by Fortune 500 companies (e.g. Airbus, General Electric) and industry-leading innovators (e.g. Boston Dynamics, FLIR).


We are looking for a Sales Engineer to be part of our direct sales team that sells next-gen wireless networking solutions to our customers. You will facilitate a technical sales process and engage with our Application Engineering and Support teams. This is a remote position and travel will be required (around 20%) to meet with customers and attend industry tradeshows.


What you will be doing:


  • Work with our inside sales team and application engineers to qualify, create, and close sales opportunities
  • Lead the sales process with high importance customers, which includes articulating the capabilities of Doodle Labs’ technology, system planning, integration support, and system optimization
  • Project manage technical support issues with customers that have been handed off to our team of Application Engineers
  • Establish and grow relationships with engineers, purchasing/contract administrators, and right-level leaders to proactively grow the business at your assigned customer organizations
  • Maintain a real-time sales opportunity pipeline for forecasting purposes in our CRM (HubSpot), and document customer activities
  • Proactively engage with new potential accounts in your assigned industry/geography to generate new sales opportunities
  • Articulate your previous week’s activities, the coming week’s plans, and review your updated sales pipeline during weekly 1:1s with our Senior Director of Sales


What we need to see:
  • 5+ years of proven success as an outside or inside salesperson selling technical products to the engineering organizations of accounts
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen to engage with US Government customers
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or equivalent experience

Ways to stand out from the crowd:
  • History of successfully selling embedded products into OEM applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to use simple communication that conveys sophisticated concepts
  • Experience working with VARs and/or System Integrators to accelerate solution deployment
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively expand business into new accounts
  • Knowledge of wireless communication systems, RF signal propagation, and digital communication technologies

The compensation range is $125,000 - $175,000, including variable compensation such as Performance Bonus and Company Profit Sharing. Your cash compensation will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. You will also be eligible for benefits.
