• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate individual client histories and current mental health needs.
• Create and implement customized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, addressing specific client goals and progress benchmarks.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to aid clients in their healing journeys.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to express their experiences and build coping strategies.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure clients receive integrated care and support.
• Respond to crisis situations, offering immediate support and intervention during trauma-triggering events.
• Educate clients and their families about the effects of trauma, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources for additional support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records that comply with all legal and ethical standards to ensure a trusted therapeutic relationship.
• Engage in regular team meetings, case consultations, and training sessions focused on trauma-informed care and best practices.
• Commit to lifelong learning by staying informed of the latest research and emerging trends in trauma therapy.

Our client base consists primarily of individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to PTSD, acute stress disorder, and chronic trauma. You will work with a diverse range of clients, each with unique experiences and healing needs. • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York is essential.
• Demonstrated expertise in trauma-related disorders and a strong understanding of trauma-informed practices.
• Excellent therapeutic relationship skills, marked by a compassionate, non-judgmental approach and the ability to build rapport with diverse patient backgrounds.
• Strong proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and the ability to leverage technology effectively in a telehealth context.
• A commitment to ethical practice and a focus on client-centered care.

• Two years of post-licensure experience providing mental health therapy in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Proven track record in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions and outcomes through structured methodologies.
