Providence Mental Therapy Session Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a fully remote role. This position operates in a remote setting, making it flexible for therapists to manage their schedules while maintaining work-life balance. While the work is primarily conducted from home, therapists will have the opportunity to meet clients in their homes or at our outpatient clinic as needed. Collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals will be crucial, ensuring a cohesive treatment experience for families.

• Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients in various settings, including clients’ homes and our outpatient office to provide personalized care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to address issues such as anger management, coping skills, and social skills development, focusing on reducing high-risk behaviors like self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
• Work closely with adolescents and caregivers to enhance their decision-making abilities, enabling them to manage behavioral challenges effectively within the home environment.
• Maintain open lines of communication with the Child Family Treatment Team and other interdisciplinary professionals to coordinate care and share insights for improving client outcomes.
• Document all interactions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring timely submission to meet organizational standards.
• Participate in monthly team meetings, actively contributing recommendations and insights to enhance the therapeutic process.

This role is centered around providing therapeutic support to children and adolescents aged 3-20 with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Therapists will engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, particularly those requiring bilingual support in Spanish or Portuguese. Ensuring culturally competent care is vital to our mission as we strive to improve the quality of life for all families we serve.

• A master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential to practice therapy in this role.
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (approximately 4-7 pm); weekend availability is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated experience in providing positive behavior support, rehabilitation, or similar therapeutic services.
• Prior experience working with children and adolescents with intellectual or developmental disabilities is a significant advantage.
• A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle will be necessary for home visits and community outreach.
