Position Overview

Wellcure Mental Therapeutic Clinic is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) to join our remote team. In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in providing therapeutic support to children and adolescents dealing with developmental disabilities and cognitive challenges. Ideal candidates will be fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, allowing for effective communication with a diverse client base.

Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of remote work settings, allowing therapists to conduct sessions from the comfort of their homes or in the community. While the primary focus is on in-home therapy, you will also have the opportunity to meet clients at our outpatient clinic located in scenic Scottsdale, Arizona. Even though the job is primarily remote, you will be part of a supportive and dynamic team that meets regularly to discuss progress and share experiences.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Wellcure, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating individual therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of each child or adolescent, either in their home or at our outpatient clinic.
  • Implementing strategies for anger management, social skills development, and coping methods while actively addressing and reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and aggression.
  • Collaborating closely with caregivers to enhance their decision-making skills to effectively manage behavioral challenges at home.
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes other clinicians and specialists committed to providing comprehensive support to families.
  • Managing all required documentation including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely and organized manner.
  • Participating in monthly team meetings to collaboratively strategize and provide recommendations for ongoing initiatives.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work directly with a diverse population of children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who encounter various challenges related to developmental disabilities and cognitive impairments. Our aim is to empower these young individuals and their families through targeted therapeutic strategies that promote emotional and behavioral well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
  • Must hold an active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Arizona.
  • Commitment to availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, with weekend availability being a plus.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing positive behavior support strategies is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience working with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities will be considered an asset.
  • A valid driverโ€™s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required for conducting in-home sessions.
  • Candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
