• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify individual patient needs, and develop personalized treatment plans based on those assessments.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to treat clients, ensuring that each method aligns with the patient’s unique circumstances.
• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups, helping patients navigate common mental health issues while fostering a sense of community and mutual support among participants.
• Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care, sharing insights and outcomes during interdisciplinary meetings.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, assisting patients in navigating immediate challenges effectively.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatments, and community resources, empowering them to take proactive roles in their mental health journey.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans, following all legal and ethical standards.
• Stay current with research and ongoing training in the mental health field, showcasing a commitment to professional development and excellence in patient care.

The primary patient population includes diverse individuals ranging from adolescents to adults facing various mental health challenges. They may include those struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, substance use disorders, and other complex mental health issues. As a mental health counselor, your approach will be crucial in creating a safe space for healing and growth, encouraging patients to express their concerns openly.

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of various mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic techniques.
• Experience in conducting mental health assessments and formulating effective treatment strategies.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems, enhancing the efficiency of your documentation and patient tracking.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a culture of mutual respect and professional accountability.

• At least two years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting.
• Experience delivering therapy across individual, couple, and group modalities is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with local community resources that can support patients in their recovery journeys.
