Project Scope:
Seeking an experienced Database Developer (SQL) to support critical public health data initiatives, including data warehouse modernization, data pipeline enhancements, disease surveillance system integrations, and electronic case reporting (eCR) solutions. The consultant will play a key role in designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting complex database solutions, ETL processes, reporting systems, and data migration initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL development, ETL processes, SSIS, data warehousing, healthcare data integrations, and large-scale data management. This role requires close collaboration with database administrators, data integration teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design, develop, and maintain complex database solutions and data integration processes.
โ€ข Develop and optimize SQL stored procedures, advanced queries, and database performance.
โ€ข Design, build, and support ETL processes and data pipelines.
โ€ข Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages.
โ€ข Support data warehouse initiatives, reporting solutions, and business intelligence requirements.
โ€ข Convert and modernize legacy data processes, including migration of SAS-based solutions.
โ€ข Create and maintain process documentation, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
โ€ข Gather business requirements and perform gap analysis with stakeholders.

โ€ข Parse and process multiple data formats including XML, CSV, SOAP, and HL7 messages.
