Job description

We are looking for an experienced Lead Product - Ui/Ux Designer for our client. This is a permanent position that is remote to start with later relocation to Winnipeg. Our client is a global enterprise company with a product that you've likely used. 

You Will: 

  • Lead the design strategy for multiple teams/departments
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify and analyze opportunities to improve our products 
  • Ensure a healthy pipeline of mid-longer team initiatives that will help drive future innovation
  • Working effectively in an agile environment to deliver product increments and ensure that requirements are met.  Measures and monitors design quality after releases.  
  • Participate in the design leadership community to help drive best practices across the design community
  • Participates in the recruitment within the design discipline.
  • Coaching and Mentoring designers.

You Have:

  • Minimum 5+ years in a senior or design/UX leadership position
  • Experience mentoring and coaching designers in design practices
  • Experience with line management of 1-2 designers 
  • Experience delivering a design vision or strategy which has shaped the roadmap of multiple teams
  • Experience creating high quality UX&D work across large scale projects
  • Understanding of the business value we are solving for our users 
  • Experience making user-led decisions, and is comfortable working with user insights e.g. from user research of quantitative insights, data, ethnography.
  • Experience setting clear goals, deadlines and key milestones for design discovery, and tracking progress against these successfully.
