Job description

We're looking for a talented and motivated Virtual Design and Construction Specialist to join our growing team! As a key player in our success, you'll collaborate with clients and colleagues to design exceptional restaurant spaces using Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and BIM technologies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Manage the Singer Hub on Forma, setting up folders and permissions for the different divisions.
  • Create a BIM Execution Plan for Singer H&R.
  • Support VDC projects for Singer H&R (i.e. project set up, BIM Modeling, rough-ins, technical support, etc).
  • Attend VDC/BIM kick-off calls to set reasonable expectations and timelines with collaborators.
  • Analyze the host's BIM Execution Plan and set projects up accordingly.
  • Participate in BIM Coordination Meetings alongside Project Managers.
  • Perform clash detection when required (Navisworks, Revizto).
  • Collaborate with project teams both internally and externally to solve coordination issues as they arise.
  • Stay up to date on changes to Autodesk Forma and other BIM Coordination platforms.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associates or Technical Degree in Drafting, CADD, or applicable field of ‎study; bachelor's degree in design preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous work experience in foodservice equipment design; with mechanical systems experience is preferred.‎
  • Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, AutoCAD and MS Office software applications is required.‎
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • General math skills and ability to read blueprints and plans.
  • Basic understanding of general construction practice.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow project schedules.
  • Motivation and self-drive are required to complete a task.
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and able to work on more than one project at once.
  • Remote work available.
