  • Deliver timely analysis of legislative, budgetary, and policy developments affecting the defense and national security market, translating implications for business leadership.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Media, Strategic Communications, and engagement teams to raise the company's profile at major events and identify moments where the company can shape the policy debate.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of our Political Action Committee strategy.

  • Knowledge of the defense acquisition process including the evolving policy space around commercial buying practices, FAR reform, dual-use technologies, and OTAs
  • Knowledge of the national security community and the interagency process
  • Ability to build and sustain long-term relationships with policymakers, build internal consensus on policy positions, and translate that consensus into external advocacy aligned with business strategy
  • Ability to represent the company externally with credibility, professionalism, and integrity
