Location: Remote, East Coast Hours
JOB SUMMARY
Accufile is seeking an experienced, part-time, remote Research & Knowledge Services Researcher to support our client's Marketing & Business Development team. This remote role requires 15-20 hours per week, with work performed between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, and frequent communication with the marketing team.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support business generation tracking, including updating court dockets, identifying case details and entering and maintaining records into a CRM system.
  • Conduct research on attorneys, competitors, litigation case lists and documents, and other topical or legal matters as needed, using internal and external resources.
  • Search for and review legal filings (e.g., reports, testimony, and related court filings) using legal research databases.
  • Assist with data entry and the maintenance of team databases.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • MLS or MLIS degree, or a minimum of three years of related legal research experience, required.
  • Prior experience using legal research databases such as CourtLink, Lexis, Lex Machina, and Westlaw required.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered research tools and analytics platforms, with the ability to integrate emerging technologies into research workflows.
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize, plan, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Highly organized, with strong time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
  • A 6-month minimum commitment is required.
