Trileaf Corporation is a nationwide environmental, architecture, and engineering consulting firm that assists clients with environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance, and engineering and architectural design. From its headquarters in St. Louis, MO, and multiple branch offices throughout the U.S., Trileaf serves the wireless communications, commercial real estate and financial industries.

Location: Kansas City Metro area (FULLY REMOTE)

Job Summary:

Trileaf is seeking a full-time, field Project Scientist with at 0-5 years of field experience conducting environmental due diligence work on commercial real estate and/or telecom projects, to include Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs) and Phase II ESAs. This position will be remote & based in the Kansas City metro Area (will consider Kansas City MO/KS and Topeka KS areas).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Travel to project location, take detailed notes and photographs of site (2-3 days per week)
  • Conducting interviews, in person, via email, and phone
  • Ordering & analyzing government database records
  • Performing regulatory agency file reviews
  • Reviewing historical data (including topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories, and aerial photographs)
  • Drafting of a standardized report using information from these various sources
  • Perform QA/QC to the satisfaction of both management and clients
  • Completing requested revisions & submitting report within pre-established timelines
  • Conducting field work to collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, and soil vapor) and/or indoor air
  • Compare analytical contaminant data collected to applicable regulatory standards

Basic Qualifications:

  • Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528)
  • Record Search with Risk Assessments (SBA SOP 50 10 6)
  • Environmental Professional (EP)

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields
