We are currently hiring for the role of Sr. Data Engineer.
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for working in collaboration with other teams in the company to understand data requirements, to develop new and modify existing data solutions, and to enable the business with data, analytics, and reporting. These data solutions will include a data warehousing solution, data processes and governance, and maintaining existing solutions. As this position grows more advanced tools, algorithms, and learning processes can expand responsibilities of the position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Collaborate with the Analytics team and business partners from each area of the Kele companies to understand and define data requirements and enable the business through business intelligence and reporting
  • Develop, construct, test, and maintain data architectures, databases, and datasets to enable extraction and transformation for predictive or prescriptive modeling
  • Facilitate a smooth communication channel between business stakeholders and internal resources while creating, implementing, and delegating data-related tasks
  • Create databases by integrating various internal and external data sources
  • Enhance performance and stability of existing data sources
  • Identify strategies to improve data dependability, efficiency, quality, and data governance processes
  • Work closely with the rest of the IT team to manage the company's data infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing data transfer mechanics (pipelines, ETL)
  • Maintain multiple data warehouse environments to support proper CI/CD and SDLC principles
  • Enable and run data migrations across different databases and servers such as migrations from on-premise SQL servers
  • Enhance existing stored procedures, replication, and nightly jobs to be more performant
  • Document and track work in Jira
  • Utilize Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory solutions to develop pipelines
