Data Quality Engineer
The Opportunity:
Define and manage data quality analytics based on quality parameters. Develop a strategic roadmap with clear milestones to guide the organization's transition to its desired future state for data management. Lead exercises to create a complete inventory of the organization's data assets to identify what data exists and where it is located. Define the target future-state for a repeatable data quality strategy, outlining how quality will be monitored, tracked, and implemented. Build governance policies, stewardship standards, and access control frameworks while coordinating with platform engineers, cybersecurity officers, and mission analysts to maintain accurate metadata, asset documentation, and catalog traceability.
You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience creating long-term data quality strategies that align with the organization's mission, including enterprise governance with data stored in a cloud environment
  • 4+ years of experience developing data quality procedures by implementing profiling scripts, anomaly detection models, field-level validation rules, lineage tracking checks, and completeness scoring mechanisms
  • 4+ years of experience writing and developing code using a database management tool
  • 3+ years of experience in data quality, overall data governance, and policy
  • Experience working with government organizations
  • Experience establishing and supporting data governance programs, including the development of policies, standards, and processes
  • Knowledge of the unique challenges and regulatory requirements of the public sector
  • Ability to articulate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with Alation Data Catalog
  • Experience with Python, Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), or SQL
  • Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) methodology or MDM technologies
  • Experience implementing "zero-trust" security architectures

  • Possession of excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
