In this role, you will implement the global solutions strategy to drive increased sales, market share and customer satisfaction in the assigned sub-segment. The Key Account Manager - Data Centers will collaborate with the Electrification local marketing and sales teams and global marketing and sales organizations across all ABB Businesses and EL Business Lines. 'Solutions' approach to account management applies to industries with a significant potential to address a wider ABB portfolio from multiple businesses through closer alignment.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Remote in the United States. This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Generating new business, increasing ABB market share and exceeding the target sales figures with profitable growth for the ABB Group Data Center portfolio in the assigned sub-segment.
  • Manage and take ownership of assigned customers for all product lines, including orders, forecasting and issue resolution.
  • Engage with colleagues including global, regional and country segment leads to develop and deliver action plans that secure new and existing opportunities.
  • Collaborating with Product Managers, hold training seminars and other events to promote ABB Solutions in the assigned sub-segment through internal sales, channel partners, consultants, contractors, OEM and end-users.

Qualifications for the Role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline highly preferred; will consider equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years' experience working with relevant consultants and contractors, distributors, industry users at a senior level in the data center, critical power, power quality or closely related industry.
  • Experienced in consultative technical sales with 12+ month sales cycle.
  • Attention to detail, self-starter, proactive, ability to learn, good interpersonal skills and result oriented.
  • Willing to travel within the United States and some overseas 50% of time; applicants should have a valid US Passport.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office & Salesforce.com.
  • Applicants must have work authorization that will allow them to work permanently in the United States now and in the future

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $116,200 and $185,920 annually and is bonus eligible.
