AVP, PRIVACY - POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Lead the organization's enterprise privacy program, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) while serving as the subject matter expert on healthcare privacy.
  • Develop and oversee privacy risk management, including risk assessments, incident response, breach management, and privacy-by-design across clinical and technology environments.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, IT, Security, and Operations to integrate privacy into imaging platforms, AI technologies, cloud solutions, vendor management, and strategic initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain privacy policies, training programs, audits, and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen organizational compliance and data protection practices.
  • Lead and mentor the privacy team while fostering cross-functional collaboration, driving accountability, and supporting a culture of compliance and patient data protection.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; advanced degree (JD, MPH, MBA, MHA, or similar) preferred.
  • Professional privacy certification required (e.g., CIPP/US); healthcare privacy, compliance, or security certifications (CHPC, CHPS, CISSP, CHC, CCEP) are highly preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare privacy, compliance, or regulatory affairs, with at least 5 years leading enterprise privacy or compliance programs.
  • Deep expertise in HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules, vendor risk management, and healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Experience implementing privacy programs for healthcare technology, including EHRs, PACS/RIS, cloud platforms, AI, incident response, and privacy training.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $185,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
