Job Function:

This is a system-wide leadership position responsible for supporting the 340B Drug Pricing Program Director. The purpose of this role is to standardize processes to ensure perpetual compliance with policies, procedures, guidelines, laws, and regulations pertinent to the 340B program in multiple settings. The position also identifies best practices throughout the system and ensures that they are communicated and implemented throughout the system.

Essential Functions

  • Develops a systematic approach to assessing adherence to policies, procedures, guidelines, laws, and regulations pertinent to the 340B program.

  • Develops strategies and tactics to recognize front-line team members for best practices that are identified during field-based visits and to ensure that best practices are implemented in all applicable sites.

  • Ensures policies, procedures, best practices, guidelines, and standard operating procedures are followed.

  • Establishes positive relationships and works closely with pharmacy leaders and care site leaders.

  • Takes ownership in the development and refinement of system policies, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified).

  • Licensed to practice pharmacy in any U.S. State

  • Licensed in a state in which Intermountain Health operates or eligibility to obtain a license upon hire, if deemed necessary by hiring manager

  • 3 or more years health-system pharmacy experience

  • Experience in pharmaceutical procurement

  • Experience with the 340B Drug Pricing Program

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects.

Preferred

  • 5 or more years health-system pharmacy experience

  • Knowledge of integrated health care systems

  • Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certificate

  • Strong data analysis and business acumen.

  • Experience in a role requiring planning, prioritization, and execution skills.

  • Experience in a role requiring skills related to balancing clinical, regulatory and financial goals and outcomes and collaborating with all levels within an organization.

  • Experience in a role requiring excellent technical, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
  • Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
