Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Global Trade Compliance (GTC) Analyst to support daily U.S. import and export operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of trade compliance data and processes. Reporting to Global Trade Compliance leadership, this remote role serves as a U.S. import/export subject matter expert and is responsible for supporting compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and other applicable government regulations.
The GTC Analyst will partner cross-functionally with Logistics, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, IT, and Operations to support compliant and efficient cross-border activity while maintaining strong internal controls, accurate trade data, and audit readiness.
Primary Responsibilities
U.S. Import Compliance
  • Manage and support daily U.S. import operational activity, including review and validation of documentation and data elements required for U.S. Customs entry.
  • Support imports from Mexico, Canada, and Rest of World origins.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships and issue resolution with U.S. customs brokers and entry filers.
  • Perform and maintain HTS classification determinations.
  • Perform and document country of origin and marking determinations.
  • Support customs valuation compliance, including related-party transactions, assists, additions to value, and other valuation considerations.
  • Maintain accurate trade compliance master data within ERP and trade compliance systems.
  • Conduct internal entry audits and identify trends, root causes, and corrective actions.
  • Support post-entry activity, including Post Summary Corrections, protests, and other corrective actions as required.
  • Maintain import compliance records in accordance with regulatory and company recordkeeping requirements.
  • Partner with the U.S. Country Senior Manager on other trade compliance projects and initiatives.

U.S. Export Compliance
  • Manage and support daily U.S. export operational activity, including review of export documentation and data elements required for EEI filing.
  • Coordinate and support routed export transactions and ensure appropriate documentation and authorization controls.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships and performance of EEI filing agents and brokers.
  • Perform and support restricted and denied party screening, including escalation and resolution of potential matches.
  • Perform ECCN and Schedule B classifications.
  • Support export license determinations, license applications, exceptions, and related recordkeeping, as applicable.
  • Review export transactions for end-use, end-user, destination, and diversion risk concerns.

Other Trade Compliance Responsibilities
  • Support USMCA qualification, certification, eligibility reviews, and recordkeeping.
  • Support cross-border trade activity with Mexico and Canada, including in-bond movements and FTZ-related operations.
  • Extract and analyze import and export data from ACE and internal systems to support audits, compliance reviews, KPIs, and management reporting.
  • Develop, maintain, and update trade compliance SOPs, work instructions, and internal controls.
  • Support implementation and enforcement of Global Trade Compliance policies and procedures.
  • Assist with internal trade compliance training for relevant business functions.
  • Partner cross-functionally to investigate compliance issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive process improvements.
  • Support internal and external audits and maintain ongoing audit readiness.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of U.S. import and export trade compliance experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Strong proficiency in HTS, Schedule B, and ECCN classification.
  • Strong knowledge of country of origin, marking, and customs valuation requirements.
  • Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other trade service providers.
  • Familiarity with ERP and trade compliance systems; SAP and SAP GTS experience preferred.
  • Experience using ACE reports and analyzing import/export transactional data.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple business functions.
  • Ability to independently manage priorities, investigate issues, and escalate compliance risks in a remote work environment.
  • Licensed Customs Broker or other relevant trade compliance certification preferred but not required.
  • SAP S4 GTS experience is a plus

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $55,600 t0 $90,100, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
