Overview:
We are seeking a Data Capability Lead to support a high-visibility, global S/4HANA transformation initiative. This role is a key leadership position supporting the global upgrade from ECC to S/4HANA and greenfield implementation of the o9 enterprise planning platform, SAP EWM, and BlackLine. You will step into an existing role temporarily vacated due to maternity leave, playing a critical part in data leadership, cross-functional coordination, and deployment readiness.
The ideal candidate will bring experience driving end to end large transformations 10+ years of SAP data project leadership experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and a proven track record with large-scale, multi-year, global ERP transformations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, execution, and governance of global data-related workstreams across the S/4HANA and o9 transformation program.
Partner with cross-functional teams, system integrators, and regional business units to ensure successful data readiness and cutover.
Manage and track project milestones, sprint sign-offs, timelines, risk mitigation plans, and interdependencies across parallel initiatives.
Guide and support regional teams during deployment phases—coordinating training, troubleshooting, and readiness activities.
Act as a point of contact for senior stakeholders, providing frequent updates and escalating issues as needed.
Conduct data risk impact assessments and align global templates with regional execution gaps.
Support the delivery of master data, data cleansing, harmonization, and data governance strategies.
Collaborate with SAP and o9 architects to ensure integration points and technical design are aligned with business process needs.
Foster collaboration across a globally dispersed team of ~30–40 resources, maintaining high standards for communication, ownership, and results.
Must-Have Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in SAP Data Leadership roles (SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA).
Strong understanding of master data management, data migration, and enterprise data governance.
Experience with end-to-end global ERP transformations – at least 2+ global, multi-year implementations.
Demonstrated ability to operate across business, technical, and functional domains.
Comfort navigating large enterprise environments, managing ambiguity, and working under pressure.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; ability to interface with senior leadership and cross-regional stakeholders.
Experience managing multi- vendor environments and partnering with Executive Leadership
Must have owned the global data workstream of the integration/implementation
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with o9 enterprise planning, SAP EWM, or BlackLine.
Data cleansing, organizing, and harmonization experience.
Team & Program Context:
This role supports the Global Data team and collaborates closely with regional teams during deployment.
Program team includes ~30-40 individuals across business and IT; includes both internal and external partners.
You’ll be expected to work independently, "divide and conquer" with your counterpart, and proactively own deliverables in a dynamic environment.
Reporting into senior program leadership and embedded across workstreams with heavy cross-functional coordination.
Flexibility and adaptability are key.
