• Engage directly with clients suffering from major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders, both in-office and within the community, conducting assessments and forming therapeutic alliances.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to the development of treatment plans that align with client needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Ensure adherence to professional ethical guidelines per organizational standards, maintaining confidentiality while fostering trust and rapport with clients and peers.
• Conduct evidence-based screenings and arrange for more comprehensive evaluations when necessary; create, implement, and monitor individualized care plans tailored to client needs.
• Provide interventions, including crisis management and therapeutic techniques, ensuring clients receive timely and appropriate treatment services.
• Document treatment protocols, client progress, and ensure compliance with program policies, including timely completion of reports and data submissions.
• Be available for on-call responsibilities during and after program hours to provide support when crises arise.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives by participating on committees that enhance service delivery and program effectiveness.

The LICSW will primarily work with diverse populations struggling with mental health disorders related to substance use, emotional distress, and psychosocial issues. The Detox Center serves clients from various backgrounds, and as such, a strong cultural competence and respect for individual differences is vital in fostering a supportive and understanding environment.

• Active Licensure as an Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts is required.
• Expert knowledge in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment methodologies relevant to mental health and addiction issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary for effective client interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively based on client needs.
