Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, age- and culturally-sensitive bio-psychosocial assessments for mental health, substance abuse, and medical needs, ensuring each evaluation is documented electronically and complies with organizational policies.
• Deliver diverse behavioral health services, engaging with individuals, couples, and families through effective counseling techniques, intake processes, assessments, evaluations, and crisis interventions.
• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments, ensuring effective referrals to appropriate community resources, such as substance use treatment programs.
• Collaborate effectively with Quality Improvement teams to collect and analyze data that reflects service outcomes, enhancing the quality of mental health services offered.
• Remain vigilant in escalating patient needs to relevant providers, ensuring that students receive timely and appropriate interventions for their health concerns.
• Participate in regular team meetings to share insights, best practices, and updates on patient progress, fostering an environment of collective learning and improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is centered on providing services to students within the school system, addressing a wide array of mental health concerns ranging from anxiety and depression to behavioral issues and trauma. As a clinical social worker, your expertise will help guide students and their families in navigating these challenges, providing a critical support system necessary for academic success and personal development.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential as required by the state of California.
• Master's degree in social work from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of three years of post-licensure experience in clinical social work, demonstrating practical application of social work principles in a mental health or healthcare interface.
• Strong knowledge of counseling techniques and crisis intervention strategies, with the ability to make independent clinical judgments in complex cases.

Compensation and Benefits
