Job description

The Site Manager serves as the central point of contact for all Csquare data center technical service and support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; service requests from Service Delivery, Service support liaison for clients as well as internal systems and networks, data center security as well as shipping & receiving.
In addition, the Site Manager provides day-to-day oversight and leadership of Csquare operated data center facilities. Responsibilities include vendor management of various vendors and suppliers, oversight of maintenance, repair, installation and operation of the facility performed by the data center facilities team provider as it pertains to electrical systems, mechanical systems, capacity planning, project management, customer build-outs, and all other aspects of data center facility operation. The Site Manager is responsible for managing the daily activities of the data center support team while working in collaboration with the Engineering and Shared Services teams in support of internal and external customers.
.Essential duties:
  • Provide leadership to the local data center support team with a broad set of responsibilities; manage tactical and strategic activities with focusing on continuous improvement.
    Responsible for timely execution of data center services such as remote hands, customer installs, and service requests.
  • Provides 24 x 7 on-call emergency response & support as necessary for incident management and data center emergency response to maintain the highest level of integrity and availability to data center.
  • Manage vendors and contractors to obtain maximum effectiveness and efficiency (safety, cost, equipment longevity, and reliability) and to maintain Mechanical & Electrical infrastructure per manufacturers' recommendation and corporate specifications.
  • Operates and maintains data center to assure 100% uptime to customers.
  • Ensures that data centers comply with all local, state, and federal health and safety requirements.
  • Ensures consistent risk management, change management, monitoring, and incident response in the data center
  • Development and management of data center budget for maintenance, repairs, capital and general operating costs; bottom-up development of yearly budgets. Negotiation and approval of vendor contracts/agreements
  • Works with Sales, Service Delivery and Customers to provide successful build implementations within specified timelines.
  • Participates in all Change Management processes including risk assessment and procedural development and review.
  • Works closely with the Csquare Engineering teams in problem resolution and trending.
  • Manages raised-floor capacity, power and cooling in data centers, maximizing revenue space for installed products.
  • Manage projects and administration of professional consultants and contractors providing building repair, and capital improvement services.
  • Responsibility and oversight for customer implementations, including review and approval of proposed Service Level Agreements and Contract changes.
  • Ensure policy and procedure is followed and that all audit requirements are being met on a daily basis. Areas of focus include; service delivery, service support, and physical security.
  • Act as the escalation point for internal and external client inquiries.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of day-to-day tasks related to service level tracking, customer satisfaction improvement, process improvement, perform data center tours and budgetary controls. Consistent with this focus the individual will track operational metrics to provide senior management oversight and control for both snapshot data and long-term trend analysis.
  • Works with regional and global operations management staff to leverage existing operational procedures and reference material to expedite implementation, standardize operational methodologies, and facilitate best practices in areas of common interest and business focus.
  • Accountable to maintain and evolve internal operational policy and procedural reference documents.
  • Operate as a member of the extended data center Operations team to deliver on key business initiatives
  • Managing facilities training program and overall staff development.
  • Responsible for site safety and environmental compliance.
  • Ensures compliance of the data center with various accreditations e.g. SSAE16, PCI DSS, ISO 270001, Uptime M&O. Support various audits in relation of these accreditations.

Required skills:
  • Strong management and leadership skills gained through experience managing people, process, and technology.
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networks, storage, and data cabling.
  • Working knowledge of data center critical systems, including: diesel generators, UPS systems, fuel systems, switchgear, power distribution equipment, chillers, computer room air handlers, fire detection/suppression and building monitoring systems.
  • Experience with negotiating and managing local vendor agreements.
  • Ability to make solid business decisions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Display confidence in client-facing situations; with experience dealing with Techs to C Level management.
  • Team player with excellent consultative communications skills, proven ability to work effectively with internal/external clients, vendors and consultants.

Education or Equivalent Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of data center support & facilities experience in mission critical environments with 5 years in a supervisory/management role.
  • Desirable Certifications: ITIL, BICSI, RCDD, MCSE, CCNP, CCSA, CDCP, CDCE

$140,000 - $155,000/yr plus bonus
