Position Summary

The Data Center Site Activation Manager is responsible for leading the successful transition of Data Center sites from Startup & Commissioning to the National Data Center Service Team. This role serves as the primary coordinator for site turnover activities and ensures all operational, technical, customer support, and field service processes and resources are fully prepared before service responsibility transfers to the National Data Center Field Service Team.

The Site Activation Manager works cross-functionally with key personnel across the business, including construction project managers, field service managers, the 24-hour customer service team, and support staff to ensure a seamless transition and flawless customer experience.

This position requires relationship building, superb communication and coordination skills, and a process mindset. Bias towards action is critical.

Key Responsibilities

Job tasks include but are not limited to the following:

  • Own the process transition of Data Center sites from Startup & Commissioning to the National Data Center Field Service Team
  • Develop and maintain a master site activation checklist with defined criteria for site turnover
  • Coordinate site turnover activities by scheduling and facilitating internal meetings between Project Teams and the National Data Center Team, ensuring all turnover documentation is completed, organized, and stored in designated locations
  • Provide the Command Center with details needed to onboard new Data Center customers and ensure readiness for 24/7/365 customer support; provide customer-specific information, escalation procedures, and service requirements to the 24/7 customer service team (Command Center)
  • Partner with Service Managers to identify trained technicians capable of supporting Data Center customers for 24/7 on-call coverage for all activated Data Center sites
  • Identify and confirm site-access for technicians supporting customer sites, including badging, customer-required onboarding, security requirements, and site-specific PPE requirements
  • Coordinate readiness meetings with local field service leaders, such as Branch Managers and Area Managers, to ensure alignment and support capabilities
  • Communicate and validate that the Data Center Business Operations Supervisor has set up end-user customer accounts, contacts, and assets in Salesforce and other operating systems
  • Ensure service managers and service support staff are aware of customer required communication as outlined in master service documents
  • Track activation milestones, risks, and open issues to ensure successful customer onboarding and operational readiness
  • Drive continuous improvement of site activation, turnover, and customer onboarding processes to support growth of the business, including maintenance of standard work procedures and identification and execution of process improvements

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 5+ years' experience in service process management or project coordination or national order management or field service management or project management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting data center, mission-critical, construction, commissioning, or technical service environments
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects, priorities, and timelines simultaneously
  • Knowledge of field service operations, technician dispatch processes, and 24/7 customer support models
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other service management or collaboration platforms
  • Experience developing and maintaining process documentation, checklists, standard operating procedures, and workflow tools
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and documentation management capabilities
  • Ability to identify risks, drive issue resolution, and ensure milestone completion in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience collaborating with field operations, branch leadership, project managers, and customer support organizations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset with experience streamlining processes and improving operational efficiency
  • Understanding of customer site access requirements, safety standards, security protocols, and contractor onboarding processes
  • Relationship building and bias to action

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

Thisposition is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
