Position Overview:
The Manager, Analytics and Insights plays a critical role in supporting evidence-based decision-making across Commercial, Market Access, and Medical. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated analytics that inform commercial strategy, payer strategy, reimbursement and access optimization, and scientific engagement. This position blends analytical rigor with strong business and medical acumen-translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that improve patient access, support compliant medical engagement, and strengthen the value story of PharmaEssentia's products across the healthcare ecosystem.
Core Responsibilities
  • Lead exploration and execution of analytics projects in support of commercial, market access, and medical teams.
  • Identify opportunities for advanced analytics to improve business outcomes and operational performance.
  • Continuously improve reporting capabilities to support Sales, Access, and Medical teams with actionable insights.
  • Assist commercial and medical teams in data-driven identification of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to inform engagement strategies.
  • With onboarding of additional datasets (e.g., GPO data, Komodo Claims), lead analytics initiatives to assess sales and access performance across distribution channels.
  • Serve as an analytics thought partner to Sales, Market Access, and Medical stakeholders, helping frame key questions, align assumptions, and communicate insights in a clear, decision-oriented manner.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards for field teams (e.g., MSL activity, scientific exchange trends, geographic coverage) to enhance field effectiveness while maintaining strict compliance boundaries.
  • Drive greater efficiency across an expanded analytics team by optimizing workflows and implementing automation solutions.
  • Assist team members in data automation, reporting, and KPI development and tracking to ensure consistent performance measurement.

Qualifications
  • MBA or MS in a quantitative or health-related discipline (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Economics)
  • 5+ years of analytics experience in pharmaceutical or biotech environments, with exposure to Market Access, Medical, or both
  • Hands-on experience with healthcare data such as claims, payer/formulary data, HUB or specialty pharmacy data; familiarity with medical or real-world data sources is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate ambiguity into structured insights
  • Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau); working knowledge of SQL, R, or Python preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders through data-driven storytelling
  • High attention to detail, strong ethics, and a clear understanding of compliance requirements when supporting Medical Affairs

The expected salary range for this position based on greater Boston, MA location is $114,240-$147,900. Actual salary pay will be based on multiple factors, including geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
