The Opportunity:
As a Defense Mission Technology Senior Manager at Booz Allen, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior Department of Defense and Intelligence Community executives, helping shape enterprise technology modernization, acquisition strategies, and mission transformation initiatives that directly impact national security. In this role, you'll leverage deep defense operational knowledge, federal acquisition expertise, and strategic planning experience to solve the government's most complex challenges. You'll work alongside technical architects, data scientists, cyber experts, cloud engineers, and digital transformation leaders to align mission priorities with innovative technology solutions. This position requires an executive-level leader capable of translating operational requirements into executable strategies while strengthening client relationships and identifying opportunities that expand Booz Allen's impact across the defense enterprise.
What You'll Work On:
  • Lead executive-level strategic planning sessions that align mission priorities with technology investment roadmaps for multiple enterprise initiatives.
  • Develop enterprise modernization strategies spanning cloud adoption, Zero Trust, AI, data modernization, enterprise architecture, and mission systems integration.
  • Advise leadership on Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes to maximize technology investments and optimize resource allocation.
  • Shape acquisition strategies supporting multi-billion-dollar technology portfolios, including contract planning, procurement strategy, and execution oversight.
  • Translate complex operational challenges into actionable business, acquisition, and technology recommendations.
  • Support executive decision-making through strategic analysis, executive briefings, white papers, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Partner with technical delivery teams to ensure strategic initiatives are executable and aligned with mission outcomes.
  • Build trusted relationships across Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, Service Headquarters, OSD, and Defense Agencies.
  • Identify emerging technology opportunities including AI, cyber, cloud, automation, digital engineering, and advanced analytics that improve operational effectiveness.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among government stakeholders, industry partners, and Booz Allen technical teams.
  • Drive business growth by identifying new mission opportunities, shaping proposals, supporting capture efforts, and contributing to strategic pursuits.

You Have:
  • 20+ years of experience with Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or federal government leadership
  • 20+ years of experience advising executive leadership such as General Officers, Flag Officers, or SES
  • 15+ years of experience leading IT enterprise modernization initiatives from cradle to grave
  • 15+ years of experience with PPBE, strategic planning, resource management, and capital investment planning
  • 5+ years of experience supporting large-scale acquisition or contract portfolios exceeding $1 billion
  • Experience developing executive strategies, implementation roadmaps, and organizational transformation initiatives
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across operations, acquisition, finance, and technology
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $142,900.00 to $266,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
