• Conduct thorough initial assessments to understand the psychological and emotional status of clients upon their entry into the detox program.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address trauma, anxiety, and depression, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and provide individual therapy, focusing on coping strategies and behavioral interventions.
• Maintain meticulous, confidential records of client progress, treatment plans, and any changes in circumstances.
• Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary treatment team to review client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying informed about emerging research, effective practices, and potential resources to enhance therapeutic approaches.

The clients you will serve at our Detox Center include individuals struggling with substance use disorders, often alongside mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression. This diverse clientele requires a tailored approach that honors their unique journeys. Your work will play a pivotal role in fostering hope and facilitating recovery amidst the often-stigmatized context of substance use and mental health issues.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A current, active Licensed Mental Health Therapist license (LMSW) in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to engage effectively with clients and team members.
• A deep understanding of trauma-informed care principles and the ability to apply them in practice.

While a minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health or substance abuse treatment settings is required, candidates with experience in remote healthcare delivery or working within detox programs will be given preference. Experience with case management and working in collaborative, interdisciplinary teams is also advantageous.
