Job description

Runpod is the AI Developer Cloud. More than one million developers, from indie researchers to teams running frontier models in production, use Runpod to experiment, train, fine-tune, deploy, and scale AI on one platform. The platform has processed more than 20 billion inference requests. We closed a $100M Series A in June 2026. We're at an inflection point for AI infrastructure, and we're building the platform the next generation of developers will depend on. Learn more in our CEO's funding announcement: https://www.runpod.io/blog/one-million-developers.
We're a small, remote-first team. We take ownership seriously, move fast, and ship work that more than a million developers rely on every day. We're looking for people who care deeply, build with urgency, and want to matter at scale.
Developer Relations (DevRel) is the practice of building trust with developers by meeting them where they are and helping them succeed with our product. It sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and marketing, but it isn't quite any of them: the work is technical enough to earn credibility, close enough to product to shape it, and public enough to grow in reach.
At Runpod, DevRel means being customer zero. We build and validate with the same tools and workflows as our developers, so our content, tooling, and advocacy are grounded in real usage rather than assumptions. That work runs in two directions: outward, through education, community, and content that helps developers build; and inward, feeding back into the product what we learn from developers.
We're looking for a Senior Developer Advocate who lives at the intersection of building and communicating. Someone who writes code, builds cool things on the platform, and turns that work into content and connections that help developers succeed. You'll be using Runpod the way our developers do, and channeling what you learn into everything you create.
This is a role where your influence will significantly impact Runpod's growth. Developer Relations transforms a great product into a vibrant community of developers, and you'll be central to that process. Every demo you deliver, talk you give, and integration you create helps developers find, stay with, and promote Runpod.
What sets this role apart is the ownership. You're not following someone else's plan; you're creating it. You'll choose what content to develop, decide which conferences to attend, prioritize key ecosystem integrations, and determine how to represent us in communities that influence AI engineering. When you notice onboarding issues or see an opportunity in a new framework, you have the freedom to take action without needing permission.
Responsibilities:
  • Produce demos, technical blog posts, videos, and webinars on a consistent cadence, partnering with engineering for technical depth while owning the final output. Success means high-quality content that drives developer awareness, sign-ups, and activation.
  • Deliver talks at developer and AI developer conferences, and build relationships with organizers and attendees.
  • Build tooling, extensions, and plugins that improve the developer experience on Runpod, and instrument them so the impact is measurable. Success means shipped tools with real adoption that reduce friction and drive downstream product usage.
  • Design and run programs that scale our core pillars: content, events, and community, so impact compounds over time. Success means repeatable, durable systems rather than one-off efforts.
  • Show up consistently where developers are, build genuine relationships, and surface insights to Product and other relevant teams. Success means deep community presence that generates inbound interest and shapes product direction.

Requirements:
  • Experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, community, solutions engineering, customer success, or another customer-facing technical role
  • The ability to regularly attend events and conferences in person
  • Able to speak publicly on behalf of a developer facing product
  • Technically credible, you can build and demo real things on the platform and hold a deep technical conversation without a script.
  • Already active in developer communities
  • A strong written voice, with recaps and posts that make people who weren't in the room feel like they missed something
  • Successful completion of a background check

Preferred:
  • Experience speaking at meetups or developer events
  • The ability to create videos with a high level of technical depth
  • Familiarity with AI libraries and frameworks, agent frameworks, or ML infrastructure and GPU workloads

What You'll Receive:
  • The competitive base pay for this position ranges from $150,000 - $200,000. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Runpod and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location
  • Meaningful equity in a fast-growing company- everyone on the team receives stock options - your impact drives our growth, and you share in the upside.
  • Generous medical, dental & vision plans - we cover 100% for all employees and partial for dependents.
  • Flexible PTO- take the time you need to recharge
  • Most roles are remote work first with an inclusive, collaborative teams utilizing slack as the main form of internal communication
  • Join a passionate team on the cutting edge of AI infrastructure - where culture, learning, and ownership are at the heart of how we scale.
  • $1,200 Home Office & Equipment Stipend-We set you up for success from day one with gear and support to create your ideal workspace
