OVERVIEW
The Commercial & Builder/A&D Sales Manager has a pivotal role focused on driving growth and building strong relationships with regional and custom home builders, developers and general contractors within an assigned geographic territory. This individual will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, and design firms and act as a trusted advisor, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of our products and services to meet their project requirements. This position will also include driving National Builder, multifamily and commercial project strategies and programs at the divisional level. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that align with company goals, ensuring that our products and services meet the unique needs of the builder segment. This role requires a dynamic sales professional with deep industry knowledge, excellent relationship management skills, and a proven ability to drive results.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Relationship Development: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with National, regional and custom home builders, developers and general contractors within the assigned geography, positioning the company as a trusted partner and preferred supplier. 30% of the focus will be developing and maintaining relationships with the A&D community.
• Sales Strategy: Develop and implement targeted sales strategies and programs to grow market share, increase product penetration, and achieve revenue goals within the builder, developer and general contractor segments.
• Account Management: Oversee and manage a portfolio of builder accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty through regular communication, support, and problem resolution.
• Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs within the assigned geography to identify growth opportunities and refine sales strategies accordingly.
• New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential builder partners, developers and general contractors to expand the company's footprint within the assigned territory.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and operations, to ensure that customer needs are met and that programs are executed effectively.
• Sales Forecasting: Develop accurate sales forecasts, set performance goals, and track progress against targets, making adjustments as needed to ensure the achievement of sales objectives.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the company's product offerings and how they can meet the specific needs of builders, providing guidance and support to customers as needed.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the Regional Sales Director on sales performance, market conditions, and customer feedback.
• Training and Support: Offer training and product demonstrations to builder partners, developers and general contactors ensuring they are well-informed and equipped to sell and utilize the company's products effectively.
• Travel: Travel within the assigned territory to meet with builder partners, attend industry events, and support regional sales initiatives.
SALARY RANGE
  • The anticipated total compensation range for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000, which includes a base salary and an incentive bonus opportunity. Base compensation within this range is determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience within the building industry, with a focus on working with regional custom home builders, multifamily and commercial projects.
• Sales Acumen: Strong understanding of sales processes, market dynamics, and the specific needs of the builder segment.
• Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with builder partners, with a focus on customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive growth and align with broader business objectives.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess market conditions, customer needs, and sales performance, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address and resolve customer issues and challenges promptly and effectively.
• Travel: Ability to travel regionally up to 75% of the time to engage with builder partners and support sales initiatives.
