This role drives meaningful player engagement through platform strategy, real-time interaction, and community amplification. Acting as a connective layer between development, marketing, regional teams, and ambassadors, the role ensuresthe player'svoice and sentiment are represented clearly and consistently. Success is measured by sustained engagement, cultural relevance, and trust with Blizzard's global player communities.
This role ownsBlizzard-wide social engagement strategy across priority platforms, with a focus on conversation, responsiveness, and community vitality. The position partners closely with franchise teams, regional marketing, community management, and external agencies. Success requires independent judgment, expert platform knowledge, and influence without authority. The role balances proactive planning with reactive engagement in a live-ops environment. Outcomes are measured through engagement health, platform growth, and quality of player interactions.

This role offers a flexible hybrid work week, with a mix of remote and on-site days. While hybrid is the standard arrangement, you're also welcome to work on-site full-time if you prefer. Our primary studio location is in Irvine, CA. However, we understand each person's circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore other possible options, including remote work arrangements.

Responsibilities:
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Lead social engagement strategy across priority platforms: Define how Blizzard engages players on platforms such as X, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, Reddit, andemergingchannels, ensuring consistency and relevance at scale.

  • Own day-to-day platform management and execution: Oversee publishing, moderation alignment, and real-time interaction to ensure Blizzardmaintainsan active, credible, and player-first presence.

  • Drive Discord and Reddit expansion: Build and nurture active communities,establishingbest practices, engagement rhythms, and clear success metrics.

  • Serve as voice-of-player signal owner: Monitor sentiment, surface trends, and synthesize community feedback into actionable insights for marketing, development, and leadership partners.

  • Enable dynamic and reactive engagement: Lead rapid-response posting and conversation during live moments, announcements, and issues, balancing brand voice with player empathy.

  • Partner with franchise and regional teams: Act as a bridge between global strategy and local execution, ensuring alignment while allowing regional nuance and cultural relevance.

  • Integrate ambassador programs into social ecosystems: Elevate ambassador activity into social channels,showcasingvibrant inner-community layers that drive retention and advocacy.

  • Collaborate on content strategy and production: Partner with internal teams and external agencies to brief, produce, and publish engagement-led content that supports broader campaigns.

  • Support multi-game and multi-campaign demands: Provide engagement leadership across concurrent launches, live-ops beats, and evergreen content.

  • Establish engagement KPIs and reporting: Define success metrics, analyze performance, and continuouslyoptimizeplatform and engagement approaches based on data and insight.

MinimumRequirements

  • 12+years of experience in social media, digital engagement, or community-adjacent marketing roles.

  • Demonstratedexpertisemanaging global social platforms and high-followingplayeror consumer communities.

  • Proven ability tooperateindependently as a subject-matter expert influencing cross-functional partners.

  • Strong experience translating audience sentiment and data into strategic recommendations.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $89,280.00 - $165,168.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
