Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will manage tax compliance across U.S. and international jurisdictions, ensuring accurate reporting and supporting audits, planning, and cross-border initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, experience with indirect and corporate taxes, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
This position is preferred to be on-site, based out of our Fort Lauderdale Headquarters. However, remote candidates will be considered. The work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30a-5:30p Eastern Time.

Job Responsibilities:
  • File indirect taxes (sales, VAT, GST) and other applicable local taxes accurately and on time.
  • Research and ensure compliance with state, local, and global tax regulations.
  • Reconcile all tax accounts in the general ledger, including property, sales, use, corporate income, and VAT.
  • Support tax inquiries and audits from internal and external auditors as well as government agencies worldwide.
  • Monitor updates in tax legislation, assess business impact, and communicate changes to leadership.
  • Perform month-end close tax-related tasks including accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Support global tax planning, transfer pricing analysis, and intercompany transaction documentation.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls related to tax reporting and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales, IT, and other teams to ensure proper tax treatment of business transactions.
  • Assist in implementing tax automation tools and ERP system enhancements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA a plus).
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, with Indirect and Global tax experience required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis; knowledge of tax software preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to work independently while adhering to procedures and instructions.
