Job Description

Sia Title: Independent Contractor (1099)

Project Title: Digital Strategy/CRM Lead

Project Length: 6-8 weeks (July-Aug)

Project Hours:  Est: up to 40 hrs a week (MUST BE AVAILABLE DURING BUSINESS HOURS 9-5PM EST)

Fixed Fee Range: Est: 10k-12k. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills and agreed-upon scope and monthly deliverables rather than tracked hours. This is a fixed-fee project, not an hourly engagement. You will be paid out monthly on a net 30 day schedule.

Location: New York, NY or Remote

The ideal candidate is an experienced digital strategist who can confidently lead CRM and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy from planning through execution while also supporting broader digital growth initiatives. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can own SEO/GEO work directly—not simply oversee specialists—as these capabilities are now active, billable workstreams across client accounts.

You'll partner closely with strategists, account teams, paid media, creative, and analytics teams to develop recommendations, execute strategic initiatives, and communicate results to clients. Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) is highly desirable.

What You'll Do

Own CRM & GEO strategy and execution

  • Lead CRM and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) initiatives across multiple client accounts, developing and maintaining roadmaps, conducting audits, prioritizing opportunities, optimizing content for both traditional search engines and AI-driven search experiences, and translating insights into actionable recommendations. Serve as the primary strategic owner of CRM/GEO deliverables while remaining hands-on in execution.

Drive digital growth strategy

  • Partner with internal teams and clients to shape integrated digital marketing strategies that improve discoverability, customer acquisition, and business performance. Develop strategic frameworks, recommendations, and client deliverables while ensuring a high standard of work across engagements.

Translate analytics into strategy

  • Leverage performance data to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and measure the impact of CRM and digital marketing initiatives. Develop reporting and present strategic insights and recommendations directly to clients and internal stakeholders.

Lead senior client conversations

  • Serve as a trusted advisor in client meetings, presenting strategies, performance updates, recommendations, and roadmaps with confidence and executive presence.

Collaborate across disciplines

  • Work closely with Paid Media, Creative, Analytics, Development, and Account teams to ensure integrated marketing initiatives are aligned and executed effectively.
Qualifications
  • Available to work a full-time short-term contract role on EST hours ons
  • Proven experience leading digital strategy across integrated channels including GEO/CRM, and growth marketing within agency, consulting, or complex client-service environments
  • Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing, customer journeys, campaign architecture, and performance-driven digital strategy across enterprise or multi-stakeholder accounts
  • Hands-on experience reviewing performance data, extracting actionable insights, and translating analytics into strategic recommendations for clients and internal teams
  • Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA); ability to operate comfortably within modern martech and reporting ecosystems
  • Ability to confidently lead senior-level client conversations, present strategic recommendations, and guide workstreams with executive presence and sound judgment
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Paid Media, Creative, Account, and technical teams to keep integrated initiatives moving effectively
  • Comfortable operating as both a strategic lead and individual contributor — able to step into the work directly, shape deliverables, review outputs, and provide hands-on support where needed
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in fast-moving environments with minimal oversight
