As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Waves for Good, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting secure and confidential teletherapy sessions with clients using our telehealth platform, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Performing thorough assessments to evaluate clients' emotional, mental, and social health needs while actively developing tailored treatment plans and intervention strategies.
• Providing immediate crisis intervention and support when necessary, ensuring client safety through prompt and effective response techniques.
• Guiding clients in accessing community resources and social services that enhance their overall well-being and support their therapeutic goals.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential electronic records, including progress notes and treatment plans, in line with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create an integrated approach to client care, drawing on insights from various professional perspectives.
• Equipping clients with coping skills, self-care strategies, and effective communication techniques, fostering independence and resilience.
• Staying abreast of advancements in clinical social work and teletherapy through continuous professional development opportunities.

In your role as an LCSW, you will primarily support school-aged children and adolescents, addressing a range of issues including anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and trauma-related challenges. Your expertise will be pivotal in helping clients build greater emotional resilience and self-regulation, thus improving their academic and personal lives.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California or the state where they practice.
• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field.
• A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience.
• Proficiency with telehealth technology and digital platforms is essential.
