Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to discern each patient’s unique trauma history, paving the way for appropriate and personalized treatment strategies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental health improvement.
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, incorporating methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, assisting patients in processing trauma, acquiring effective coping strategies, and nurturing the healing process.
• Collaborate actively with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for all clients.
• Deliver crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, responding effectively to immediate emotional and psychological needs.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available mental health resources to enhance understanding and encourage active participation in treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records, adhering to legal and ethical standards regarding patient information.
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings, engaging in professional development activities tailored to trauma-informed care methodologies.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, treatment modalities, and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance therapeutic skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our practice is on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clients often require nuanced therapeutic approaches that prioritize safety and empowerment. You will take an active role in helping these clients uncover their strengths and achieve meaningful life changes.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic and non-judgmental demeanor.
• Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in high-stress situations, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in a mental health setting, preferably focused on trauma therapy.
• Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth platforms.
• Proficient knowledge of resilience-building approaches and trauma-focused therapies.

Compensation and Benefits
