Job description

Job Title: Project Financial Analyst - Pricing

Job Summary:
The position will perform a variety of assignments requiring the application of mature project financial analyst and pricing techniques and analysis. They will be expected to help refine and implement cost management processes for a range of projects. This position will provide strategic support with functional responsibilities as described below.  This role will report to the Project Controls Manager.

This can be a virtual or hybrid role. 

Duties/Responsibilities:
•    Apply intermediate knowledge of pricing processes to support financial analysis, pricing requests, proposals, and contract activities.
•    Review, approve, prepare, process, and analyze pricing requests using business judgment and in compliance with company policies.
•    Support Project Managers with contract financial analysis from RFP through contract initiation, maintenance, reporting, and negotiations.
•    Serve as a point of contact for Finance, Project Managers, Senior Management, and internal and external customers regarding pricing, billing, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting.
•    Prepare accurate and competitive price or cost estimates, present rationale for business decisions, and obtain necessary management review.
•    Lead monthly financial forecasting, including analysis, report delivery, EAC preparation, project forecasts, and accrued cost development.
•    Support compliance audits and ensure executed agreements are followed and agreed-upon pricing is loaded accurately.
•    Support execution of project financial processes and systems, including project setup in Deltek CostPoint.
•    Track IDIQ contract status, notices to proceed, funding levels, and periods of performance.
•    Assist in developing work breakdown structures, basis of estimates, spend forecasts, and project controls for budget, funding, actual and forecasted costs, labor hours, and quantities.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: 
•    Proficiency in MS Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills; Deltek CostPoint experience strongly preferred.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills, including the ability to evaluate information, determine compliance with policies and procedures, and recommend appropriate solutions.
•    Ability to translate process and financial information into action plans and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
•    Minimum of 3 years of pricing, financial analysis, or proposal pricing analysis experience.

Education and Experience:
•    Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field and at least 5-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area, or combination of education and experience.
•    Understanding of project financial management principles
