Mortgage Operations Analyst

*This position is hybrid remote and requires onsite work at our North Austin, TX headquarters.*

Your experience includes:

  • Must be eligible for NMLS Registration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in mortgage lending, mortgage operations, mortgage technology administration, quality control, underwriting, processing, or a related role required.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience administering technology platforms (preferably mortgage) and implementing operational improvements is strongly preferred.
  • Good analytical skills necessary to evaluate credit requests and determine trends in a given marketplace.
  • Existing knowledge in regulatory, policy, and compliance issues pertaining to the mortgage industry a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills and the ability to work in a diverse community.
  • Passion for providing outstanding service and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
  • Ownership of the customer experience through issue resolution.
  • Adaptable to a productive team environment where knowledge is shared, and feedback and coaching are welcomed.
  • Effective time management and flexibility to work department hours.

The Mortgage Operations Analyst will play a key role in keeping our mortgage operations running smoothly and continuously improving how we work. They'll serve as the go-to expert for our mortgage systems, help evaluate and implement new technology and system enhancements, analyze operational data and quality control results, and identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, accuracy, and the member experience. This role will also troubleshoot system issues, support employees with system and process questions, coordinate testing and system updates, develop reports and dashboards, and help ensure our mortgage processes stay compliant with applicable requirements. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with a willingness to take ownership, will be essential as this role works closely with Mortgage, IT, Compliance, vendors, and other teams to turn ideas and opportunities into real improvements.
