Summary of Job Duties:
The Early Care and Education Projects (ECEP) Family Child Care Coach will support ECEP in fulfilling its mission to educate, connect, and equip early childhood professionals by advancing the work of the Family Child Care Network (FCCN). This position provides relationship-based support, including training, technical assistance, and coaching, to family child care providers in an assigned region of Arkansas, while contributing to statewide network efforts as needed.
Regular and reliable attendance is expected, as is the ability to build and maintain collegial working relationships. This is a one-year appointment, renewable based on the need for the position, funding availability, and satisfactory performance.
This position is a remote position serving the following counties in Northeast Arkansas: Craighead, Mississippi, Poinsett, Cross, Crittenden, Jackson, Woodruff, Independence, Lawrence, Greene, Clay, Randolph, Sharp, Izard, Fulton, and Stone.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • CDA credential or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least three years of experience providing direct services to children and families within the child care community
  • At least three years of experience in early childhood programs, with knowledge of state licensing regulations and quality improvement systems preferred.
  • Experience with technology and Microsoft Office Applications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least three years of experience with family child care homes and applicable licensing regulations
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and effective coaching practices, and experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting early childhood educators
  • Ability to collect data and information to meet reporting requirements
  • Familiarity with ECEP and its mission

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of child development and family child care home operations, including program quality and business practices
  • Knowledge of Arkansas Family Child Care Minimum Licensing Regulations
  • Skill in delivering training, technical assistance, and job-embedded coaching
  • Skill with Microsoft Office applications, databases, and technology supports for business and program improvement
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with providers, partners, and team members
  • Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal formats
  • Ability to collect, manage, and report data to meet program requirements
  • Ability to work independently and manage time and responsibilities effectively
  • Ability to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends
