Senior Software Engineer - Data Processing

Who We Need

In this position, you will be designing and implementing data processing pipeline, building large scale data processing platforms, and solving complex distributed data issues. This opportunity requires creative problem solving within the guidelines permitted by law as well as implementing and supporting systems capable of processing healthcare data at unprecedented scale.

Responsibilities
  • Build large scale distributed systems, and data pipeline and ETL solutions.
  • Hands on contribution to all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g., Design, Implementation, Testing, Deployment, Operations, Performance).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, clinical informaticist, architects, and other engineers.
  • Innovate using strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly in the healthcare domain.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including:
    • Designing, building, and operating distributed systems at scale
    • Writing production-quality, efficient, multi-threaded code that runs reliably in cloud environments
    • Architecting and implementing search system features (indexing, querying, optimization), including building robust test frameworks
    • Reviewing data specifications and handling large-scale data storage and distribution using specialized protocols
    • Debugging and resolving complex production issues in distributed systems
  • Proven experience with cloud-native architectures and DevOps practices (preferably Azure, though AWS/GCP experience is relevant)

  • The base pay for this position is $155,000 to $190,000. The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target. Pay is based on several factors including location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional compensation such as incentive pay and stock options.
