Position Overview

The Presence Multicultural Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of working remotely while still providing essential mental health services to individuals and families in need. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to understand clients' mental and emotional states, assessing their needs, issues, and aspirations to tailor effective treatment plans.
  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions for clients of all ages, utilizing proven therapeutic techniques to address various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges.
  • Lead couples therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, resolving conflicts, and rebuilding trust, essential for relationship stability.
  • Craft personalized treatment plans in conjunction with clients, integrating their feedback and assessment results to ensure relevance and actionable steps leading to progress.
  • Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed, maintaining a responsive approach to changing client needs.
  • Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and case histories, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and support to clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure coordinated support and empowerment throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to clients experiencing acute psychological distress or emergencies.
  • Stay informed about the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in marriage and family therapy to enhance your therapeutic approach.
  • Participate in professional development sessions and continuous training opportunities to broaden your expertise and enhance client outcomes.
  • Advocate for clients by promoting their rights and wellness, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their treatment options.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work as an LMFT will focus on a broad range of individuals and families, including children facing developmental challenges, couples navigating relationship issues, and adults seeking growth or coping strategies for mental health concerns. We cater to a diverse client base, ensuring that all treatment approaches resonate with the cultural backgrounds and individual experiences of those we serve.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field is required.
  • An active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the State Board is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience providing therapy to individuals and/or couples, showcasing your ability to connect and facilitate positive change.
  • Familiarity with working alongside children and adults, encompassing a range of backgrounds and mental health challenges.
  • Capable of efficiently completing client assessments, documenting progress, and crafting treatment plans in a timely manner.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a remote counseling environment, demonstrating the ability to engage effectively with clients through digital platforms.
  • Advanced training in specific therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
  • Knowledge of cultural competence in counseling practices.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience.
