Job description

LHH has partnered with our Seattle, WA-area CPG client to recruit a VP of Marketing to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a new position with the organization, open due to large-scale growth and brand innovation. This role is a blend of strategic guidance, revenue growth, team leadership and brand positioning, and you will be a critical part of building and scaling a marketing and eCommerce team of experts in their respective spaces to drive the tactical work forward. You will own budgeting and P&L for the department, maintaining consistent knowledge of department and initiative KPIs, opportunities and successes to enable further investment and growth for the brand. You will take brand strategy roadmap and work with the team to bring it alive. This brand sells in both DTC and B2B channels, and you will own and drive growth across both avenues for the brand. To be a fit, you should bring 10+ years of progressive marketing experience with 3+ years leading mid-sized marketing and eCommerce teams. CPG experience is a must, with experience in wellness, beauty or similar a strong preference. A background in both DTC and B2B channel marketing is required for consideration.
This organization is based in the Seattle, WA area and is focused on a hybrid hire, but their team is open to considering remote candidates currently on the West Coast who are open to frequent travel to the Seattle area . Aside from commuting to the office, you can expect ~20% travel within the US and abroad. Compensation ranges from $165,000 to $180,000 annually, and this role is bonus eligible on an annual basis. You will:
  • Serve as a critical part of company leadership and a resource to cross-functional teams as a CPG marketing expert, leveraging your expertise and knowledge to support strategic planning, brand roadmaps, company positioning and activities that drive revenue growth and brand recognition
  • Manage and scale a marketing and eCommerce team of experts in their respective spaces, providing training, mentorship and oversight that drives tactical marketing work
  • Own budgeting and P&L for the department, maintaining consistent knowledge of department, channel and campaign KPIs, opportunities and successes to enable further investment and growth for the brand
  • Represent the brand as a thought leader and product subject matter expert with B2B clients, vendors and other partners, attending events, tradeshows, meetings and similar
Your experience should include:
  • 10+ years of integrated marketing experience with a minimum of 3+ years leading integrated marketing and eCommerce teams
  • CPG experience, required; Experience in wellness, beauty or similar products, strongly preferred
  • In-depth experience owning department P&L and growth goals, with experience creating and pitching department budget
  • Experience working in DTC and B2B wholesale environments, owning marketing strategy and execution to drive business growth on both sides
  • Deep understanding of marketing and eCommerce technology and industry innovation, with technical aptitude in Google Analytics, eCommerce platforms, email marketing tools and similar
  • Experience bringing marketing and eCommerce strategy to life, with comfort working closely at the executive level with internal partners and external vendors
