St Paul Behavioral Health Center is currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dynamic team. • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health status, identifying their needs and strengths.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that address the specific challenges faced by each client, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Provide regular one-on-one and group therapy sessions, equipping clients with effective coping strategies to manage issues such as anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure holistic care for clients.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of treatment progress and client interactions in accordance with confidentiality and ethical guidelines.
• Engage in crisis intervention as needed, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain composed in urgent situations.
• Provide referrals to additional resources and support services to enhance the client’s recovery journey.

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele experiencing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to, depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and substance abuse issues. Our approach emphasizes cultural competence and responsiveness, which allows us to connect effectively with clients from different backgrounds and experiences.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or a similar license in the state of Arizona.
• At least four years of relevant experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating the ability to handle a variety of clinical situations.
• Strong familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies and mental health disorders, as well as cultural competence in therapy.
• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions, particularly with a culturally responsive framework.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on relationship-building and empathy.
• Proficient in using electronic health records systems and standard computer applications related to mental health practice.

• Familiarity with community-based mental health resources and the local health care landscape in Arizona.
• Experience working in a remote environment and maintaining client engagement and rapport through virtual platforms.
• Demonstrated leadership skills or experience mentoring newer counselors or interns.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
