This position is remote, allowing you to provide outpatient services from the comfort of your home or chosen location. While you will interact virtually with clients, you will be part of a supportive team that meets regularly through virtual sessions. We emphasize a strong digital infrastructure; familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a prerequisite, and ongoing training will be provided to ensure you're equipped with the necessary tools to succeed.

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients by meeting with them to assess their mental health statuses and develop tailored treatment plans aimed at addressing their unique challenges.
• Implement and oversee ongoing therapeutic interventions, adapting strategies as needed to meet clients' evolving needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques that are culturally responsive and inclusive.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes within an electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and refer clients to additional services, such as psychiatrists, when necessary to ensure comprehensive care.
• Engage in regular supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay updated on best practices in the mental health field.

The clients you will work with at Optimize Recovery Counseling Services may include individuals facing challenges such as substance use disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, traumatic experiences, and personality disorders among various demographic backgrounds. Your experience and training will equip you to engage empathetically with diverse populations, advocating for their needs and supporting their recovery journeys.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in a clinical setting working with a diverse array of mental health issues and patient populations.
• Strong foundation in evidence-based treatment methodologies and cultural competence in therapy practices.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Proficient in utilizing technology, especially EHR systems, to document patient interactions and treatment plans.

• Experience providing both individual and group therapy, particularly using techniques that are inclusive and culturally aware.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills, with a proven ability to maintain composure and professionalism during challenging situations.
• Acquainted with remote counseling platforms, enhancing your capability to deliver virtual therapy.
