Job description

UPMC is hiring a Systems Analyst - Expert (Epic Professional Billing) to oversee our Professional Billing team. Candidates with extensive Epic Resolute Professional Billing Administration experience and certification, strong technical and operational leadership skills, and a proven ability to optimize billing workflows, mentor staff, resolve complex issues, and collaborate with revenue cycle stakeholders are encouraged to APPLY NOW!

Work Location: Fully Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coach, and develop PB staff while monitoring productivity, quality, and service standards.

  • Utilize direct feedback from revenue cycle operations to apply corrections to post-claim acceptance workflows owned by PB.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex billing issues and improve reimbursement outcomes.

  • The position is expected to provide strong technical and functional guidance of professional billing administration.

  • Serve as the Epic PB operational lead, driving workflow optimization and system enhancements.

  • Typically has 10+ years' experience with modern technology and application support through education or practical experience.

  • Highly driven and self-motivated to exceed expectations.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.

  • Effective in mentoring and leading less experienced team members.

  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of information technology fundamental tools and concepts (SDLC) of one of the information technology professional disciplines and applies that understanding to make independent practical contributions to IT work within a UPMC department or function.

  • Completes on-going training on-the-job, through courses, self-study, certifications and/or advanced degrees to maintain and enhance technical and business capabilities.
