ABB is searching for an operational excellence and financial analytics + technology leader to step into our Electrification Installation Products (ELIP) Finance Leadership team. This role will be expected to drive continuous improvement, cutting edge processes, and be able to help generate results as a key project stakeholder for domestic and global projects.

This role is open to remote candidates across the United States (#LI-Remote) with a preference for a candidate located in the Eastern or Central US.

Main accountabilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Drive complete visibility of end-to-end margin across our 9 manufacturing sites by leveraging SAP HANA and other software tools to give reliable margin trends supporting management decision making. Improve FP&A processes, reporting capabilities, planning tools, and financial systems.

  • Financial Analytics: Establishes cutting edge processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable analytics. In the world of high-end analytics, we are looking for a prospective candidate who has excellent exposure to the latest tools supporting data analytics. Develop and enhance financial models, dashboards, benchmarks, and key business performance metrics. These should be in line with ABB's accounting and reporting guidelines. Support the annual business plan, strategic planning process and quarterly forecasts with trend analysis and gap analysis.

  • Make vs Buy + M&A Related Activities: Build financial models for make vs Buy analysis for specific factories. Lead the financial analysis related M&A activities for the US ELIP region.

  • People/Staffing Leadership & Collaboration: This role requires collaboration and co-ordination with various stakeholders across the finance function as well as other functions.

Qualifications for the role:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or accounting is required.

  • 10+ years of experience, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated performance and results; in the areas of business, finance, operational controlling and/or accounting.

  • Strong costing knowledge and understanding of factory accounting and sales accounting

  • MS Office, Solid SAP knowledge/experience (CO/FI) preferred. Experience in Power BI and other new generation software tools in finance.

  • Candidates must already possess authorization to work for ABB in the US.
